- Develops, recommends & maintains an adequate information database for all activities relating to suppliers, products & prices.
- Custodian of Purchasing Department Petty Cash imprest funds
- Investigates suppliers, interviews representatives, selects & recommends vendors to be placed on the approved vendor list.
- Controls & monitors the issuance & preparation of purchase orders & related contracts.

- Participates in negotiations with suppliers for major purchases of goods & services. Analyzes the bids, if any, & recommends the best vendor to the Administration Manager.
- Directs negotiations with vendors regarding returns, rejections & adjustments of purchased goods not meeting required specifications.
- Periodically reviews & updates purchasing policies & procedures.
- Conducts market research to monitor the fluctuation of prices, trends & acquiring price-lists from vendors.
- Prepares & recommends the purchasing operational budget & monitors & controls expenses accordingly.
- Prepares reports as required by the Administration Manager.
- Explores new markets (local and international) for new purchase sources.
- Maintains standard specifications of major items as approved by the Company.
- Evaluates the performance of suppliers & vendors to ensure compliance with specific Company standards and quality.
- Co-ordinates with customs agencies with regards to shipping, clearance & receiving materials. Follows the progress of the materials ordered until final delivery.
